Taxwise Accounting is a modern, innovative, family-run firm of certified accountants based in Sale. We are led by Managing Director Richard Crofts, supported by Joanne and a team of bookkeepers who help keep clients' records accurate, organised and up to date.
Richard is at his happiest helping clients understand their numbers, improve their systems and take their business to the next level. Joanne works alongside Richard as a key part of the practice, helping make sure clients receive the friendly, joined-up support Taxwise is known for.
As well as being down-to-earth and approachable accountants, we have built our business from nothing and our growth has been 100% organic. Not through taking over an established practice or growing by merger, but by looking after clients properly and being recommended.

Richard brings hands-on tax and business advice to client relationships, with Joanne and the bookkeeping team supporting the day-to-day accounting process behind the scenes. Together, the team helps owner-managed businesses improve their systems, understand their figures and identify tax planning opportunities before they are missed.

We love working in the cloud
We are big fans of the new breed of cloud accounting software, particularly Xero. Having your books online allows you — and us — to access your accounting records at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection.
We can even set you up with a smartphone app that enables you to snap an image of loose receipts while you're out and about and have them automatically uploaded to your accounting system.
